Having been involved with the printed word for a very long time now, ebooks was a natural progression for me, just a different medium but one lacking in certain fundamentals, something I am trying to address with this website.

Some of these fundamentals I think should be:

What's in it for me?

Being able to see what is in the ebook prior to purchase just like you would in a library or bookstore

- you don't just go by what it says on the dust jacket

- you want to flick through its pages and CERTAINLY check the list of contents

- does it cover the things I am interested it/want to learn more about?

Checking the writing style

Could I "get on" with the authors writing style?

- is it "jokey", "chattey" or serious

- what sort of language does the writer use

- is it simple or complicated, easy to understand or incomprehensible?

Wanting it in printed form

Reading on screen is OK but there's nothing like browsing a real book, making notes, flipping back and forth, taking it with you (easily). So why not be able to get a hard copy?, yes, I know you can print it out yourself, but can you double side print it properly (we all know what happen when there is a blank you've missed when you come to print the reverse side!!! or your printed runs out of ink half way through printing the second side!!!) or bind it properly or even bind it all.

Checking for duplicate content

- has the information already been covered in a book I already have?

- is it the same book as I already have but with a different title?

Not interested in or have difficulty with

- downloading, unzipping etc.
